Introduction to the Sociology of Green Spaces (Australia): Home

The Introduction to the Sociology of Green Spaces (Australia) LibGuide has been created to cater to a wide range of university students at RMIT Melbourne, specifically those studying social sciences, sociology, urban planning, and/or architecture.

What is a Green Space?

The term 'green spaces', broadly to refers to any natural, or man-made space that is ‘green’ - i.e. any space that is  full of plants, trees, grasses, and open space which humans and animals interact with (Johnson 2004; Pullen 1977; Sandberg, Bardekjian & Butt 2015; Sheffield City Council 2018).
