A Beginner's Guide to Ancient Egyptian Religion

This LibGuide was created to assist individuals studying ancient Egyptian history and archaeology at a tertiary level. The topic that will be specifically examined is the presence of religion, ritual, and worship in ancient Egyptian society and culture.

Ebony 'shabti' of Hatsheret: the number of Osiride attributes of the figures is striking, including the mummiform stance, the name Isis, and the epithet "true of voice," which translates as "justified" in the traditional religion. The beautiful ebony shabti is inscribed with the conventional shabti spell from the Book of the Dead naming "the Osiris, Hatsheret."
