INTRODUCTION TO THE ONLINE GUIDE

This LibGuide will introduce you to resources to support your learning through the 'Avant-Garde and the 20th Century' reading program. Here you will find links to collections of essays, experimental writing, artist manifestos and audio-visual material documenting the history and theory of Avant-Garde art from the early 1900s to the late 1970s.

Tabs on the left-hand side of this guide link to pages which cover movements discussed during each meet-up. Each page includes a link to a digital version of the main text for each meeting, with the addition of an annotated bibliography. A Further Reading list is also available for group-members who wish to take their research further.

The Resources and Useful Links page lists a series of online databases and indexes, which will assist group members who wish to research these topics in more detail. Username and password information for these databases is available through the resources page, and can be shared amongst the group. The page also provides links to the reading program Facebook group and group email address.
