Young Adult Fiction Resource Guide: Home

Welcome to the Young Adult Resource Guide!

About Me

My name’s Lizzi and I am an aspiring librarian! I’m very passionate about Young Adult Fiction and how it can inspire change and reflect the diverse experiences of youth growing up in the world today.
I hope to work with young people interested in YA to find information and material that enriches their lives and helps them feel less alone in the world.

The tough questions:
My favourite YA novel: The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
My favourite YA author: Adam Silvera
My favourite YA film: Whip It
What’s yours?

Hello, and welcome to the Young Adult Fiction Resource Guide! Here you will find information on many books and films created for a young adult audience, BUT it is not necessary that you are a young adult to use this guide! The only requirement is that you enjoy yourself. You will also find material on where to locate more books, what events are happening near you in Melbourne and how to find your own writing voice!
Navigate the guide by using the tabs above.

It is our hope that within this guide, you will find something that makes you feel seen and heard, something that reflects your experience in this world. We also hope that you find something that makes you excited to read, because that’s what is most important at the end of the day!

Happy reading and watching!

Watch YA superstars Angie Thomas, Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera discuss who they would pick to be in their YA Dreamteam!
Who would you choose?
